Four paths into the trade
Every program prepares you for the Indiana state licensing exam. Manicuring is offered at the Gary campus only.
Barber
1,500 hours
Designed for individuals that have no experience in barbering but desire to work as a licensed barber or stylist or become barber shop owners or managers in the State of Indiana.
Cosmetology
1,500 hours
Designed to train students' basic manipulative skills, safety judgment abilities, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes. Equips for obtaining licensure and gainful employment as a licensed cosmetologist, salon owner, or manager.
Manicuring
600 hours
Primary purpose is to train the student in manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to achieve competency in entry-level jobs.
Instructor
1,000 hours
Will prepare you for licensing to effectively teach all facets of cosmetology or barbering in the state of Indiana.

Lil Lou's Beauty & Barber College was established on April 1, 2008 by Louis J. Robb — an award-winning barber, owner & instructor — to mold and motivate young minds for success in the barbering industry.
Robb first opened Robyn's Hood Barber Shop in 1994. He had long endeavored to open a barber college, aspiring to enhance students' ability so they can succeed.

Lil Lou's participates in federal Title IV programs. Pell Grants don't need to be repaid; Direct Loans are low-interest and must be paid back. Eligibility is determined by the FAFSA — not by us.

For Award Year 2015-2016, 100% of full-time, first-time, certificate-seeking students received Pell Grants.
